As my parents live over 2000Km away, it was a logical when their first grandchild was on the way, that a video camera would be the ideal way to keep close visual contact and connection. Remember Skype video, or Facetime didn&#8217;t exist yet, and internet was slow, so sending a couple of pictures was the maximum in those days. Mobile phones where not great in those days either,\u00a0no built in high resolution camera&#8217;s, or any of such nowadays conveniences.<\/p>\n<p>Sony found it&#8217;s niche with the PC100E. Some of its predecessors where good rehearsals for making a truly fantastic machine! Small, great quality picture, reliable and easy to use. Only downside is\/was the price. In those days you had to fork over at least 2000\u20ac for this camera, and therefore it really wast the camera of choice for everybody.<\/p>\n<p>As it was so easy to use, and great quality, I got hocked with the video recording. Actually, from day one, I decided (as I am a computer freak as well) that I will start editing the video&#8217;s I am capturing as well.
