Streaming

Google Chromecast

ChromecastMy son really is playing all the time with his phone and watches YouTube or whatever from his phone. I thought one day, it must be a much nicer idea to be able to watch if from a TV / bigger screen. So a streaming device must be the answer. A bit of internet research and it became apparent that Chromecast would be a pretty good idea. 40€, pretty cheap, so why not buy it as a Christmas present. Initially my son didn’t really use it much after installation. I actually don’t know why, probably teenage laziness. But after the device made it’s way from his TV in his room to the big TV in our living room, it has been a pure pleasure and so great to use by everyone of us. Streaming the missed programs from Katsomo, or the Youtube channels, or movies from Netflix, or the football matches from Holland, we almost watch more streamed media than real television. Most of it is in HD and works super cool, easy and reliable.

Only one minus. Why Google didn’t combine this with the Chromecast Audio? Have a output connector to a speaker system and allow audio streaming? If it would have had that feature, I would not have bought my Sonos, honestly! However, I feel cheated if I need to by two devices. I rather pay double for a single device.
